Monday Monday 7.23.2007

Good Monday to you all!!!

I'm still reeling after last weeks email as my Aunt took great exception to the comments about her and my mother being Country Bumpkins and quickly reminded me how she and my mother drove my ungrateful (insert explicative here) to Charlotte when I moved last summer. Sorry Aunt Pam, and I do agree that $5 is far too much to pay for a single tiny cup of Coors Light!

My Monday started off good meeting up with a couple of friends from college that were driving through Annapolis. Leah (one of the people I met up with) just spent a semester studying in Italy, so it was good to swap stories from her semester and my vacation. That put the week off to a quick start!

On Tuesday, we had a NAVY ERP social at Carol's Creek (which is prominently listed in any guidebook of Annapolis). The appetizers weren't all that much to speak of (since I don't eat seafood), but the drinks were free and the younger crowd took good advantage of the situation. For once it was a really good evening out because I got to socialize with all my coworkers of similar age. All the young people work in different offices and most of them drive to work from home (where I fly), so I don't interact with them all that much. The change was nice.

Oh man now we're half way through the work week and I rocked and rolled through Wednesday and Thursday before meeting up with a few more friends visiting Charlotte over the weekend. The three major weekend highlights were watching Harry Potter in IMAX, standing in line for the seventh book yet (which I have yet to read and am determined to hunt down anyone who spoils it for me), and Maggie went Skydiving with two friends from Clarkson and Charlotte. See picture.

Hopefully by week's end, I'll be able to finish off the final installment of Harry, but it isn't looking all that good. I'm looking forward to seeing Camden Yards this weekend!

Have a Great Week!!
