Good Morning and Good Week to You,
I hope that you all had an enjoyable weekend!! Mine was very nice as we accomplished much around the house that included tape measures, heavy lifting, and instruction booklets. And as nice as it was, I must start at the beginning: Thursday Night at the airport where my flight was cancelled. Do not think that you are reading last week's email as this does in fact mark the second week in a row that I took the seven hour drive from Baltimore to Charlotte. Unfortunately this time we boarded on time and then sat on the runway for two and a half hours before they actually cancelled the flight. I arrived home at 6:30AM and collapsed on the couch until about noon. (Kevin - I owe you a phone call as my Friday slipped away from me).
Ok, so now for all the heavy lifting. As you know, my garage is undergoing the transformation from Normal Garage to Bar Room. Maggie and I got a treadmill a few months back, and it doesn't exactly match the decor of what I picture to be a bar! The most logical place for us to put the treadmill is upstairs in our bedroom. This requires lifting a massive piece of machinery up a flight of stairs. After much lifting and some unassembling (and reassembling), we finally managed to get the treadmill up the stairs.
For my next trick, I will hang shelves in the spare (game) room. As you may or may not know, I have a number of WWE Figures that I have collected over the years. We were in search of shelving to put them on and struck gold in Wal-Mart finding shelves for $6. These are the same type of shelf that you could buy at Bed Bath and Beyond for about $30, so we thought it was an excellent deal. We bought 8 of them (or all they had). I spent Sunday morning with Maggie's help hanging the shelves.
Maggie and I also bought some furniture this past weekend, which will be delivered this Friday!! We bought two chairs for our living/reading room. Stay tunded as next week's email may have pictures of these chairs.
With a little money left in our budget, Maggie and I ventured to Home Depot Sunday afternoon and bought an outside "Rubbermaid-Style" (as we are calling it) Shed. The shed is twice the size and half the cost of what we anticipated, so that was pretty exciting.
I have included with this email some pictures of our latest projects. One of them is the bar that we recently purchased. From the pic, you can see all the elaborate carvings. I hope the file isn't too big.
Enjoy the week!
Ryan
