Hey Everyone,
I hope everyone celebrated a good July 4th. Maggie and I celebrated by going to uptown Charlotte for dinner and then fireworks.
Luckily for us, we both ended up getting the rest of the week off, which allowed us to take advantage of the JCPenny Annual Sale where they sell everything for next to nothing (but somehow you can still spend a fortune) and doing a couple of other household projects. One of the major projects ahead of us is transforming our garage into additional living space in the form of a bar. It might be hard to imagine a garage as a bar, and its true that the project will take a lot of work. This past week's progress came in the form of paint and carpeting. We painted the walls green and carpeted the floor in grey. The project took a lot of work and even more sweat, but eventually we did something that we're both fairly proud of!!! I have pictures, but not on this PC (hopefully next week I can send something).
Having lived in our new house since the end of April, we are just now beginning to see the decor come to life. We're still taking it slow collecting furniture, but this past week was really good for adding some character to the walls. One of our bathrooms has an Asian Theme, which we have steadily been developing over the past few weeks and completed this week (see pictures). There are a million little stories to tell about our house, but you can only read so many (visit and you'll get the lot).
In other news, Brandon Warner paid us a visit because his mother lives in one of our neighboring towns. It was nice to see him for an evening.
SERIOUSLY hope everyone is ready for the release of the next Harry Potter Movie this week!
Have a Good Week!
